Following our postponement due to COVID 19 we are delighted to announce that the re-scheduled date for the 2020 Hendy Eastleigh 10k will be 1 AUGUST 2021.
Hopefully after these difficult months are over, the race will be something to look forward to and and after a strong spring/early summer of training a unique chance for runners to have a real go at this fast PB course in August!
The event is renowned as a fast, flat course and as the 'home of the PB' is an ideal opportunity to record personal and seasons best times and we were delighted to be named in Runners World top ten 10k races in 2019.
Our great sponsors Hendy are supporting the event for the fifth year and runners will pour into Eastleigh from throughout the UK and abroad and compete for nearly £3000 worth of prizes in the race that will be held around the streets of Eastleigh.
Hendy Eastleigh dealership is again proudly sponsoring the Eastleigh 10k which celebrates its 36th anniversary in September 2020 and Hendy Group Managing Director Paul Hendy said he was delighted to continue to join forces with one of the most well established running events in the region.
“As a group we are involved in a wide range of events and activities and the Eastleigh 10k, which will now start and finish within sight of our new Leigh Road showrooms fits perfectly in our plans,’’ said Paul.

This year there will again be a commemorative medal and technical t-shirt for all finishers!!
• 10k start time 9am
• 10K Road Race for ages 15+ 10K
• Fun Run for 4 to 12 year olds held around Fleming Park
• The Fun Run starts at 11.00am with commemorative medal for all fun run entrants
• The 10K race will feature Chip Timing
• Commemorative t-shirt and medal for all 10K entrants (t-shirts - XS, small, medium and large and XL sizes will be available)
• Ample parking, baggage area and shower and toilet facilities
Hendy Achievement awards are back - anyone could win one!!
All runners who took part in the 2019 race will have the chance of winning race prizes as part of our achievements awards. We know just how hard all runners of all abilities train for the Hendy Eastleigh 10k and we are keen to recognise all your efforts. So in addition to our usual age category prizes we will also be providing prizes for the runners who make the biggest improvement on their 2018 time . They will be based on your chip time and, so its fair for everyone, will be based on a percentage improvement on your 2019 time. So there is a great incentive to have a great run, make a big improvement and get recognised for your efforts at any level of running!!
The races will be held under the UK Athletics rules. Race Permit Number: tbc
